Thandai Ice-cream

100% Vegetarian and one of the easiest recipe to make for a delicious Holi special dessert. All you need is a Thandai Powder, Cream,  Condensed Milk, and Milk. You can make this delectable Ice-Cream in under 15 minutes and I am sure the full family and guest will be Wowed

Do not worry if you do not have and Ice-cream maker, with few extra stuff you can get as good as results

Preparation time – 5 minutes

Cooking time – 10 minutes

Ingredients – 

  • Full cream – 450 ml
  • Condensed milk – 14 oz or 396 grams ( one small can )
  • Whole milk – 2 cup
  • Vanilla extract – 1/8 tsp
  • Thandai powder – 2 tbsp
  • For garnishing
  • Chopped  Pista and dry rose petals

Method of cooking- 

  • In a heavy bottom pan,  add milk and bring it to boil. Once the milk is boiling add cream and Thandai powder and keep stirring for 4 to 5 minutes

  • Switch off the flame and let it cool down for 10 minutes and then  add condense milk and vanilla extract
  • Use hand blender to whisk the mixture for 5 to 7  minutes until it becomes light, fluffy and creamy

  • Pour the ice-cream mixture  in airtight container
  • Keep in the freezer for one hour,  after one hour take out mixture from freezer and whisk again using hand blender
  • Repeat this process 2 to 3 times after every 2 to 3 hours and finally keep the mixture in the freezer for 8 to 10 hours or till set (Time will depend on the settings and power of your refrigerator)

  •  Serve Chilled and garnish with chopped pista and rose petals while serving
