Kesar Thandai

Thandai is an Indian cold drink which is prepared with chilled milk and floavured with lots of nuts and spices. This is a must have drink during the Festival of clours (Holi)

Preparation time – 5 minutes

Cooking time – 5 to 8 minutes

Resting time – 2 to 3 hours

Ingredients-

  • Milk – 1 liters
  • Saffron – Few Strands
  • Thandai Powder – 2 tbsp
  • Rose Essence – few drops
  • Sugar or sugar-free – 1/4 cup or 8 packets ( as per your taste )
  • For Garnishing
  • Chopped Pista and dry rose petal

Method of Preparation-

  • Bring Milk to boil and switch off the flame
  • Once the milk reduces to lukewarm temperature add sugar and thandai powder and  mix well till it dissolves
  • Add saffron to milk and few drops of rose essence and keep in the refrigerator to chill
  • Serve Chilled and garnish with rose petals and chopped dry fruits
